Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When it comes to the candida diet, breakfast can be challenging.
What in the world am I going to have for breakfast? This question seems to haunt me every morning. For me, I have to eat quickly. I don’t have the time to create an extensive breakfast.
I want to give you a quick candida breakfast idea that will give you an excellent breakfast, and get you out the door quickly.
I know that not every meal idea that I suggest is going to work for everyone. You may have to figure out what works for you, but this works for me. Also, I do not do this every morning, but I will probably have this breakfast at least once a week or when I’m REALLY tight with time.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE EGG
When it comes to breakfast, the egg is always my go-to meal. It’s on the candida diet plan, and it’s excellent for you. There was a time when we were told not to eat eggs – well, they sing another song now.
Eggs are not only good for you; they can be remarkably quick to make if you make them the way I am going to tell you.
MICROWAVE YOUR WAY
Here is what I do. I take the eggs (usually about 2-4) and beat them together in a small bowl. I do not add milk or butter (just some pepper and salt) because dairy is not a part of the candida diet.
Dairy has “lactose” which is the sugar found in milk products. Remember: we want to stay clear of sugar. If you typically add cheese to your eggs, I would recommend you throw in some goat cheese as a substitute. You can add some vegetables if you want as well, my recommendation is that all the vegetables are cut up before the morning. We want to act as fast we can. We do not have a lot of time.
Beat the eggs all together until it’s a consistent yellow color, and then put your eggs in the microwave for about two minutes. You are going to want to check on the eggs every 30 secs to make sure that it doesn’t run over the bowel and make a mess in the microwave.
When all the liquid egg is gone, and all you have is fluffy egg goodness, you are ready to eat.
EAT AND GET OUT THE DOOR
I usually have a cup of coffee and some blueberries with my breakfast as well. This meal is acceptable on the candida diet, not to mention, good for you.
Best of all, it’s quick.
Take some time and write below what you usually eat for breakfast when time is not on your side.
